On the Greek island of Kalokairi, the daughter of Donna Sheridan, Sophie, finds out more about her mother’s past while seeking guidance on how to handle her pregnancy.
ABBA fans will love this movie despite it being pretty average. There is, of course, some pleasant music sung by a cast who are obviously enjoying themselves. What makes MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN worth seeing is Lily James who is mesmerising as the young Donna. She’s the best singer, dancer, and actor and is a joy to watch. The plot is, of course, very thin as it weaves the ABBA songs into it. Actually, it is probably more accurate to say that the plot is woven around the songs, which is as it should be. There’s some great choreography. And unless you have a heart of stone, you will be smiling by the time the credits roll.
