Entertaining with some excellent special effects. Overall, though, it’s an average superhero story that wallows in CGI. It’s fast-paced with lots of things going on, but the story is pretty ordinary and superficial. The opportunity for a significant commentary on the need for caring for our ocean environment is lost with nothing more than a minor passing reference. It’s ok, but that’s all.
