Fall (2022)

FALL is one of the tensest, most anxiety-producing movies I’ve seen for a long time. It’s the story of two best friends, Becky (Grace Caroline Currey) and Hunter (Virginia Gardner) who like to push themselves to their limits. They decide to climb a remote, abandoned radio tower, reaching 2,000 feet off the ground, and find themselves stranded at the top with no way down.

The story is edge-of-your-seat stuff, and the acting by both Currey and Gardner is excellent. But it’s the cinematography that makes this movie stand out. The shots of Becky and Hunter clinging to the tower are vertigo-inducing and will have you holding your breath and clutching your armrests with very little relief for the whole 1 hr 47 mins.

The pacing of FALL is perfect, slowly ratcheting up the tension until you’re ready to scream. Sure, there are some flaws and moments that are completely unbelievable. But when a movie is made as well as this one is, you can overlook those. If you want nail-biting suspense that has themes of friendship, trust, and betrayal, then FALL is the movie for you. And make sure you see it on the big screen for maximum impact!

Rating: 4 out of 5.
