A very worthy and entertaining sequel to HAPPY DEATH DAY. I went into this knowing very little. And the trailer I saw for it didn’t really reveal much at all. It sort of looked like it was going to be a rehashing of the first one. But I was pleasantly surprised. The twists and turns were quite unexpected and Jessica Rothe and the supporting cast put in a great effort to pull it all off. The fact that you know what happens in the first movie and expect the same actually works against you, making the surprises even more delightful. I even laughed out loud a couple of times making this episode even funnier than the first one. The story combines suspense, drama, humour, and a good message all in a fast-moving package. If you liked the first movie you’ll enjoy this one just as much — and stay for the extra scene during the end titles. It looks like there might be another episode coming in the future!
