Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2022)

What sort of movie do you expect to see when Jason Statham is the star? A thrilling romp with plenty of explosions and high-stakes espionage, right? OPERATION FORTUNE: RUSE DE GUERRE delivers on that promise and then some.

The movie follows Orson Fortune (Statham), an MI6 agent recruited by Five Eyes, the international intelligence agency, to prevent the sale of a deadly new weapons technology that threatens to disrupt the world order. As Fortune is tasked with a race against time, he must battle enemies at every turn while also negotiating global politics and diplomatic relationships that could lead to catastrophe if handled incorrectly.

The action sequences are top-notch, the plot is adequate, and the performances by Statham and the rest of the cast are good. It’s an entertaining movie that will keep you engaged throughout its two-hour run time. But don’t expect too much depth or complexity.

If you are a fan of Statham or Guy Ritchie films, OPERATION FORTUNE: RUSE DE GUERRE is the movie for you.

Rating: 3 out of 5.
