A woeful movie. Clichéd, poorly acted, and mostly uninteresting. The early moments when Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock is being taken over by Venom are amusing — if only the whole movie was like these moments. There are a couple of intense action set pieces but the rest of it consists of poor dialogue and lacklustre story telling. It could have been so much more. Marvel have not lived up to their usual quality with this one.
