There’s one movie you’ll want to seek out this week at the movies — WILD ROSE starring Jessie Buckley (BEAST). You may not have heard of it but some of the best movies are those “sleepers” that burst onto our screens almost unannounced. I went to see this last night not expecting much. And what a surprise. It’s a beautiful, heartwarming, down-to-earth story about a young woman desperate to fulfil her dream to become a country singer in Nashville — but everything seems to prevent her from achieving it. Jessie Buckley is sensational. Entwined in the story are themes about parenting, responsibility, and priorities. Don’t miss this one.
