Gunpowder Milkshake (2021)

In her turbulent life as a professional assassin, Scarlet was cruelly forced to abandon her daughter Sam and go on the run. Years later, despite the estrangement, Sam has also grown up into a cold-blooded hit-woman. After a high-stake mission spins out of control, putting an innocent 8-year-old girl in the middle of the gang war she has unleashed, Sam has no choice but to go rogue. This leads her back to her mother and her former hit-women sidekicks, who all join forces in an avenging war against those who took everything from them.

A fast, fun, completely mad, action thriller. But be warned! There is LOTS of violence. The best part of the movie are the women who power through the story with witty dialogue, tons of action, surprisingly well choreographed fight scenes, mayhem, interesting cinematography, and lots of dark humour. It’s just like a milkshake. Ingredients thrown into a blender, frenetically mixed, swallowed with pleasure, and a slight tummy ache afterwards. You won’t really give it much thought when it’s over, but it’s a roller-coaster ride of infectious energy. Won’t be for everyone but I enjoyed it. Don’t expect a logical plot or realistic action. GUNPOWDER MILKSHAKE is an apt title for this cinematic outing and is exactly what you’ll get. And … there’s a sequel coming!
