THE INSULT is a profound, hard-hitting courtroom drama with remarkable acting (particularly by the women), a gripping script, and moving commentary on the tensions that occur on a personal and national level in the Middle East. Directed with passion but with an even hand, this movie is a must see. There were a few times when the events going on in court weren’t those I think a judge would allow. But, overall, an important, thought-provoking movie.
